An anonymous donor gave generously to one California hospital, asking that the $1 million gift be divided evenly among all the staff.
The donation came as a thank you to the staff of Dignity Health Dominican Hospital in Santa Cruz, California for their hard work in the midst of the current coronavirus pandemic. The money will be split between all staff that have been employed by the hospital for at least one year.
From doctors and nurses to lab techs and janitors, all full-time employees will receive $800, while part-time employees will receive $600.
The gift included a note that said, “Thank you for standing up (and staying up!) to care for our community. This human kindness is what makes you heroic.”
