Countries in the Southern Hemisphere, which gets its flu season from April to September, just had the easiest recorded flu season. Australia went from 61,000 cases of the flu in 2019 to 107 cases in 2020. The US and the Northern Hemisphere could be in for the same.
However, this depends a great deal on prevention. That means getting the flu shot and continuing to wear masks, social distance and washing hands.
