CDC Getting Closer To The Cause Of Vaping Illness

The vaping illness outbreak has killed almost 40 people and the CDC may soon know why. They believe that vitamin E acetate may be the root cause of the illness, a compound often used in cosmetics and vitamin supplements.

The compound is harmless when used on skin or ingested. However, it was found in all cases of sampled lung tissue from patients being tested, leading researchers to believe this may be the cause of the illnesses and deaths.
