Choose A Bedtime Snack That Promotes Deeper Sleep

Warm milk may be the go-to bedtime sleep aid, but there are plenty of other great drink and snack choices that will also help you get a good night’s sleep. Enjoy a treat before bed and have a restful slumber.

It’s probably no surprise that chamomile tea is good for bedtime. It helps promote sleepiness and reduce insomnia. Passionflower tea is also good for helping you wind down before bed.

Almonds are high in magnesium, reducing inflammation and stress, while walnuts have high melatonin to help you doze off faster.

Fatty fish, a good source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D, has been shown help men fall asleep faster (no idea if this works as well for women).

You’ve probably experienced a Thanksgiving ‘turkey coma.’ Turkey contains tryptophan, an amino acid that increases melatonin, and has long been linked with deeper sleep.
