The good news about COVID-19 vaccines is that they are very effective at preventing serious illness, even against the new variants.
The bad news is that in developing countries, the vaccine is often very hard to come by, whether through the hoarding of vaccines by first-world countries or because of dumb rules that protect Big Pharma.
The pandemic may be slowing down in first-world countries, but it is still a big factor in smaller countries.
