The Omicron variant is highly contagious, though less severe than previous variants. As a result, President Biden’s team is making sure that people have easy access to tests and are requiring insurers to pay for COVID-19 tests.
This started on Saturday, January 15, with insured Americans being reimbursed for up to eight at-home tests per month.
People without insurance will be able to take advantage of free testing at any HHS testing center.
