Insulin Capped At $35 Per Month Thanks To U.S. House Bill

People with diabetes have surely felt the rising cost of insulin, which tripled from 2002 to 2013. This often led to insulin rationing for those dependent on the life-saving drug. With the passing of the Build Back Better Act, the House of Representatives has passed legislation to limit the cost to $35 per month for out-of-pocket co-payers.

The bill also provides increased health insurance premium tax credits and increased funding to offset the cost of running Medicaid programs for states, both measures that will help those suffering from diabetes.

The bill will now be making its way to the Senate, where it is expected to pass.
