New COVID-19 Rules For Physicians May Be Redundant

The AMA is taking their concerns over new OSHA rules to the source in an effort to ensure that physicians trying to stay current are not following redundant rules.

Physicians have taken great strides since the onset of the pandemic. Many of their efforts have been directed at keeping medical staff and patients alike safe from unnecessary exposure to COVID-19.

With OSHA’s new emergency temporary standard (ETS) taking effect on June 21, and with only one month to provide feedback, the AMA is worried that many physicians will be left in confusion as many of the OSHA regulations may be duplicates of CDC guidance that physicians are already following.
