Bees play a vital role in pollination for many plants. Nutrients in the soil may affect how well they can attract pollinators like bees.

A study found that higher concentrations of nitrogen and phosphorous in the soil helped create larger plants with better floral displays. This, along with an increase in flower number and size can have a marked affect in attracting pollinators.
