Physical Activity Can Help Children Get Less Respiratory Infections

Scientists from Poland have found that children who are more physically active are less susceptible to upper respiratory tract infections. They also found that children regularly participating in sports had shorter infections.

Children in the tests wore pedometers and scientists found that increasing the average daily number of steps by 1,000 helped decrease the days they suffered symptoms of upper respiratory tract infections by up to four days.
