Social Media Does Not Cause Depression

Research is now dispelling the myth that social media can cause clinical depression. Social media has been linked to many things, including sleep, mental health and self-esteem problems. New studies, however, are proving that there is no link between social media and depression.

Findings led researchers to the fact that many depressed people may turn to social media to feel better about themselves. Social media itself was not found to be a cause in young people’s depression.
