Temperature And Sleep And Their Effect On Suicide Rates

Scientists have recently begun an in-depth study of how rising temperatures affect mental health and suicide rates. Disturbingly, suicides in the U.S. in 2017 were more than double the number of homicides.

Taking a look at data from a wide variety of sources, findings indicated that warmer temperatures have negative impact on mental health. While not directly relating to suicide rates, there is a corollary between warmer temperatures and sleep disturbances that may shed light on increased suicide rates.
