The cost of unvaccinated individuals on the healthcare system is reaching into the billions of dollars, $2.3 billion in June and July alone. That cost is taken on by society as much as by the patients themselves due to taxpayer-funded programs and private insurance premiums.
Estimates suggest that the cost of caring for COVID-19 patients could reach over $500 billion.
