It may seem insane to some, but in an attempt to help develop a vaccine for COVID-19, many young adults are volunteering to be infected.
The volunteers in the “1 Day Sooner” campaign are all low-risk, between the ages of 20 and 45 with no underlying health risks.
The campaign is named because statistical models show that over 7,000 lives could be saved for every day sooner that a vaccine is found.
